CCS Wheatley Park celebrated National Teaching Assistants’ Day in style – putting on a series of events to show their valued colleagues how much they are appreciated. 🎉
This year, National Teaching Assistants’ Day fell on Friday 27th September. This is a nationwide observance and is a chance for parents, colleagues and students to reflect upon and celebrate the incredibly important work these educators carry out.
Although widely accepted as some of the unsung heroes of education, the day gives everyone the perfect opportunity to say thank you. Staff and students at Wheatley Park did that in style! 💛
Student’s a Wheatley Park handmade some lovely cards for their TAs. These were given out in assembly – where other events for the day were also explained. Student ambassador, Jakob Johnso-Moty, spoke on behalf of the student body, before presenting the cards to staff.
Teaching assistants were later rewarded with sweet treats and were encouraged to put their feet up during break and lunch time. Wheatley Park students also took the opportunity to extend their gratitude for all that TAs do for them and for the sense of belonging they give them, as part of the Wheatly Park community.
Colleagues would also like to thank Wheatley Park’s TAs for their unwavering dedication to their task. Heartfelt thanks go out to Josh Vowles, Sue Morse, Marie Shepherd (HLTA), Katey Richards and their newest recruit Iona Bracher (aka Tigger).
