It’s been a great start to the new academic year for Coastal Park! ⭐ The securing of the School Games Mark Gold Standard for the second consecutive year, clearly set the weather before the start of term. 🏆 Here are just some of the things that have got things going.
In the first week back, all of the school’s learners settled in very well, adjusting to the inevitable classroom and staff changes that a new year brings.
Coastal Park’s talented footballers on their (secondary) Birches site had football tryouts – putting on an impressive display of skill and commitment. The team now has a number of competitive matches coming up. ⚽
Although obviously proud of all of their students, one learner has made a particularly impressive start to the new year. The student had previously struggled with transition periods and coming to school for a full day’s learning. This year he has not only started to come to school but is doing so with a big smile. Staff have been particularly pleased to hear him say how much he loves the school and how happy he is to be here. Coastal Park staff are quite rightly very proud of the child’s progress and of their own part in making sure that he is supported and motivated every day.
Coastal Park’s Thrive Approach has now been officially running for two years – the value of which can be clearly seen in every Thrive session. Well done to everyone who has enabled this to be so successful.
Finally (for now) Coastal Park’s year 11 students enjoyed a successful GCSE and AQA result day – reflecting the hard work and commitment of all involved.
