The school holidays are a brilliant time to relax, reset and spend time doing things you enjoyâbut sometimes, it can be hard to know what to do with all that free time. If you’re stuck for ideas, here are some fun, low-cost activities to keep you entertained and active.
Catch up with friends
Spend time with people you havenât seen for a while. A chat, a walk, or a kickabout in the park can help you feel more connected.
Get creative
Drawing, baking or keeping a journal are all brilliant ways to express yourself. You could even learn magic tricks or have a go at writing your own short story.
Learn something new
Use online videos or library books to explore a new language, dance step, or science experiment. You might discover a new passion.
Visit your local library
Libraries are free and often run special holiday activities. You can borrow books, try a quiz, or just enjoy some quiet time.
Go outdoors
Try a nature walk, a local football game, or even a picnic in your garden. You could build a den or organise a mini treasure hunt for friends or family.
Take on a project
Make a time capsule or create a photo story. These can be fun ways to capture your memoriesâand look back on them in years to come.
At Compass, our learners work incredibly hard throughout the term. The school holidays should be seen as a chance to recharge your batteries, look after your wellbeing and enjoy yourself. However you spend the break, we hope itâs packed with rest, fun and fresh air.
