On Wednesday 18th December 2024, Boleyn Park Students attended Jack and the Beanstalk, at The Cliffs Pavilion Theatre. A few of the staff went along too!
We all took our seats and waited with anticipation for the performance – starring Ryland, Nic Greenshields and Aaron James – to begin. We were not to be disappointed!
Silly Simon, as the teller of most of the silly jokes, was played to perfection. He had our students and the rest of the audience on his side from the beginning – and kept the fast pace of the show going. At one point, he did an A to Z of impressions – which was pretty impressive! The students agreed, he was very funny and captivated the audience throughout.
There was lots of booing of the evil Fleshcreep, who met an unfortunate, yet hilarious, demise. After trying to win the audience over, the boos kept coming in true panto style!
Staff and students were very impressed by the production. Their enthusiastic reviews included, “It was funny; I really did enjoy it” and “Really good, absolutely brilliant.” One student was so impressed, he awarded it 14/10!
Overall, great fun was had by all!
