Designed for learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Meadow View has been created for children who have often found mainstream education difficult to sustain.

The recent reward trip to Gridline racing gave learners from Fen Park a chance to enjoy something they had genuinely earned. From the moment helmets were on, the atmosphere shifted. There was excitement, focus and a lot of laughter as learners prepared to take to the track. For many, this was about more than racing. It was about trying something new in a safe, structured environment.

Cold weather hasn’t stopped learning at CCS Eld Park. Wrapped up and ready, learners have been heading outdoors to explore the woodland, noticing how winter changes the environment and how living things adapt. The chill becomes part of the experience—something to work with, not avoid.

You may have spent months—or years—trying to understand why school feels so hard for your child, while also worrying about the consequences of making the “wrong” choice. That level of concern is not unusual, and it is not misplaced. It reflects how carefully you are thinking about your child’s wellbeing, both now and in the future.

There has been a real sense of energy across CCS Boleyn Park, with exciting learning woven through everyday moments in thoughtful, practical ways. Cooking sessions continue to be a favourite part of the curriculum. Learners have been weighing ingredients, mixing carefully and waiting patiently as recipes come together. These sessions offer space to practise focus, follow instructions and work alongside others.

A recent visit to the seafront offered learners from Boleyn Park Trinity a chance to slow things down and spend time together in a different setting. The wind was strong and the air sharp, but that only added to the sense of adventure. Walking side by side, pausing to look out at the water and sharing a laugh helped everyone feel grounded and connected. Being outdoors creates space for learning to happen naturally.

Forest School has provided a positive start to the autumn term for primary learners at Compass Community School Cledford Park. After the summer break, it has been a welcome space to reconnect with familiar faces and gently welcome new learners into the group. The weeks have been busy, purposeful and, despite the occasional cold morning, full of energy and warmth.

Turning an empty church into a specialist education setting is no small task. But Nine Points, a developer focused on the care and education sectors, approached the project with clear purpose.
