Parents and carers in the Suffolk area are invited to book a day and time for the CCS Aylward Park – Meadow View Open Days on 19th May and 4th June 2026. CCS Aylward Park – Meadow View is a new specialist school for SEMH, MLD and Autism provision in Blaxhall. It will open in September for children in KS2, KS3 and KS4.

When I spoke to Sally Washington about Compass Community School Mountfields Park, she was clear from the start about why the school matters: “Inclusion, Integrity and Care—meeting the needs of children who until now have felt ‘misunderstood’.” Sally is both Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead at the Loughborough based, specialist SEMH school—a role she has held since April 2022.

Learners at Athelstan Park took part in a live lesson for Safer Internet Day, joining schools across the UK to explore how to stay safe, kind and aware online. The interactive session encouraged learners to think about how the internet shapes their lives, how to recognise risks, and what to do when something doesn’t feel right.
