This month, a group of boys from CCS Hemsworth took part in an exciting football tournament hosted at William Henry Smith School. Over the course of five matches, the learners showed immense determination, passion, and sportsmanship—qualities that reflect the Compass ethos.
The team played their hearts out and continued to lift each other up with encouragement and positivity. Their teamwork and resilience were evident throughout the day.
Following the tournament, one standout learner—AA—was invited to join forces with learners from another Compass school for a second tournament. That team went on to win their first three matches, with AA contributing significantly through strong communication and teamwork.
Sport continues to play an important role in developing confidence and character at Compass Community Schools, and the Hemsworth team demonstrated exactly what’s possible when learners are given the opportunity to grow through challenge.
