CCS Staffordshire are developing some exciting green initiatives at their school.
Several students are taking part in forest school on a weekly basis. When there, they learn a mixture of forestry and conservation skills, while increasing their understanding of the sustainable use of outdoor resources.
Back at the school, staff are looking into improving sustainability by searching for sustainable alternatives for consumable products, such as hand soap and toilet rolls.
To further encourage staff and students to maximize their use of recycling, HLTA, Sara Tovey has started a conversation with the school’s waste management company – with a view to installing a number of specialised recycling bins on site.
All things considered, the school is taking very positive steps towards a greener future.
