To mark the end of a successful half term, students at CCS Hampshire Hop Pickers enjoyed a day out together at Chessington World of Adventures.
Due to the size of Chessington, students needed to break into smaller groups and use their maps to navigate around the park under their own steam. This allowed them to plan their own day and prioritise the rides they particularly wanted to go on.
This additional independence required students to demonstrate maturity in their planning and communications. All students did this very well – making staff very proud of them in the process.
“Students behaved fantastically!” said deputy headteacher, Holly Falconer-Leeds. “They queued, took turns, shared, used their beautiful manners and enjoyed a full day out in a busy public place.”
Staff and students had a great day enjoying the rides, as well as the park’s other attractions. Well done to all the students at CCS Hampshire: Hop Pickers – you did us proud!
