Two students at CCS Boleyn Park recently took their English and maths GCSE mock exams.
This was the students’ first experience of mock exams, which were carried out in preparation for this year’s finals. The experience gave both students the opportunity to experience the pressures and expectations of the upcoming exam period and develop strategies for coping with them.
The exams, which were held over a one-week period, were structured to replicate the actual exam conditions as closely as possible. Students were expected to arrive on time, with all necessary materials, and adhere to the rules and regulations of the examination. The atmosphere in the exam classrooms was focused and calm, reflecting the students’ maturity and resilience.
The process has helped build confidence in the students and has left their teachers excited about their future progress. All the staff at Boleyn Park are immensely proud of both students. Headteacher, Chelle Booth, said that M & E excelled themselves with their attitude, behaviour and focus. Teacher, Amanda Pilgrim-White, added that she “could not have been prouder of them.” This sentiment was shared by HLTA, Holly Sparrow. “Our students tried so hard, we are all very proud of them,” she said.
