CCS Eld Park ended the autumn term with a joyful week of Christmas festivities that brought energy, laughter and creativity to every corner of the school. Learners embraced the celebrations through activities that combined fun, teamwork and a strong sense of togetherness.
The Squirrels class enjoyed an exciting visit to High Altitude, where they made the most of the trampolines and climbing zones. Back in school, the atmosphere stayed lively with festive arts and crafts, handmade decorations and the delicious smell of seasonal baking. Learners got stuck into making gingerbread men, marshmallow wreaths and other treats, while Esports sessions offered a fun way to connect and compete.
A standout moment came with Eld Parkās very first Christmas pantomimeāwritten and directed by the schoolās own TA and all-star performer, Adam Bond. Staff threw themselves into their roles, donning wigs, wings and crowns to perform a brilliantly funny show that had learners shouting, cheering and laughing throughout. It was a truly memorable experience and a fantastic way to celebrate the end of term.
Another highlight was the much-anticipated Christmas dinner. Cook and TA Nikki McKenzie led the preparations, serving a festive meal that brought everyone together. Staff created a warm, welcoming setting that made the occasion feel like a family celebration, and learners appreciated every moment.
As the week came to a close, the Eld Park community also said goodbye to three much-loved members of staff: SENCO Sam Taylor-OāFarrell, teacher Esther Bown and HLTA Will Partridge. Their kindness, care and dedication have left a lasting impact, and they will be greatly missed by learners and colleagues alike. The whole school sends them off with thanks and warm wishes for their next steps.
