Friday 7th February marked the 25th anniversary of the NSPCC’s Number Day.
Eld Park students supported the day by taking part in different activities that celebrate children’s day-to-day use of numbers.
As a part of the day, maths teacher, Phil Maplesden composed a number of riddles for the children to solve. The riddles were designed to test the skills of students and were tricky to work out. For example: “Tom said that, in two years, his age would be twice as old as he was exactly five years ago. What is Tom’s age now?” (Answer: 12)
