Dear Parents and Carers,
Firstly, I would like to wish all our pupils, parents and carers happy holidays and I hope we all get the chance to spend time with friends and loved ones.
As we get to the end of another challenging year I wanted to thank you for your ongoing support ensuring pupils attend school, we appreciate your assistance and attendance at Compass Community Schools has remained good throughout the pandemic. The priority remains to keep schools open so pupils can continue to access their education. All schools within the Compass Communality will be open in January and we expect all pupils to be attending at this time.
You will no doubt be aware of new government guidance in relation to safely managing Covid-19 and a new variant Omicron. Although we are aiming to keep school as ‘normal’ as possible, government guidelines do require us to ask all parents and carers to LFD test their child or young person on the morning or day before returning to school in January.
If you require LFD tests they are available at chemists or can be ordered on line, where there are LFD tests in schools we will send them home with pupils.
If you have any concerns or questions please contact the school. Finally, have a lovely break and we look forward to welcoming pupils back safely in January 2022.
Kindest regards,
Rebecca Slayford
