🌟 Celebrating Recent Highlights at Athelstan Park

There has been a real sense of momentum at Athelstan Park recently, with learners taking part in experiences that build confidence, curiosity and pride in their community. These moments reflect the steady, relationship-led work that sits at the heart of life at Compass Community Schools.

A significant milestone has been achieved through the dedication of HLTA Justin Ashfield, with the school now approved as a centre for The King’s Trust qualifications. This opens up meaningful, recognised pathways for learners, supporting ambition while keeping learning practical and achievable.

Learners in Orange Class also enjoyed a well-earned rewards trip to Ninja Warrior. The visit offered challenge, teamwork and plenty of laughter—an opportunity to try something new in a supportive setting. Back in school, PE lessons have taken on a fresh focus with the introduction of martial arts. These sessions support coordination, self-regulation and respectful boundaries, all within a calm, structured routine.

The school was also pleased to welcome local MP Dr Andrew Murrison. Learners asked thoughtful questions and engaged politely, showing confidence in sharing their views.

Together, these moments show Athelstan Park as a place where learners are supported to grow—academically, socially and personally—step by step, with trust and care leading the way.
