📝 Aylward Park Learners Receive Royal Reply

Learners at CCS Aylward Park were recently thrilled to receive a very special letter—from none other than the Royal Household.

As part of a writing activity, B and K wrote letters to King Charles III. B, a passionate football fan, shared his support for Ipswich Town and asked His Majesty which team he supports. K, meanwhile, posed a more personal question: “Do you enjoy being the King of our country?”

To their amazement, a reply arrived from James Dawson, Head of Royal Correspondence at Buckingham Palace. It read:

“The King has asked me to thank you for your thoughtful letters. It was so kind of you to take the trouble to write as you did. Although His Majesty is unable to reply personally, I can tell you that The King was most interested to see your questions. Thank you, once again, for thinking of His Majesty, who has asked me to send you both his warmest good wishes.”

Both learners were excited to receive the message—as were their fellow students. Teachers used the occasion to explore topics such as citizenship, communication and how public figures engage with the community.

It’s not every day you get a letter from Buckingham Palace—well done to B and K for showing curiosity, kindness and initiative.
