Our Commitment to Equality & Equity

An equitable education must recognise how race, ethnicity and diversity in other protected characteristics affect equality of opportunity and outcomes for individual children and young people. We must ensure every child and young person has a safe space to nurture secure identities, progress academically and successfully transition into adult life.

Compass schools and our education advisory team are committed to positive change and maintaining an anti-discriminatory ethos that provides our children, colleagues and visitors with a safe and inclusive space to enjoy their learning and working environment.

We have strengthened our anti-racist approach across our service, underpinned by the organisation’s GRACE Anti-Racist strategy. GRACE stands for Group and Regional Ambassadors Committed to Equality.

Our policies, curriculum, practice and our children’s progression are regularly evaluated to ensure inclusivity and equity for everyone with wider protected characteristics.
