On Thursday 16th May, learners DM, DS and OH, from Compass Community School Willow Park, took part in an exciting educational visit to the National Science & Media Museum, in Bradford. The trip, part of their science-focused curriculum, gave learners a chance to explore cutting-edge exhibitions and deepen their understanding of science and technology in an interactive setting.
However, the highlight of the day came when King Charles made a visit to Bradford city centre. During their time in the city, the group had the extraordinary opportunity to meet His Majesty in person. Learners were thrilled to speak with the King, sharing why they were in Bradford and what they were learning at the museum.
As well as being a memorable brush with royalty, the day offered meaningful educational valueâexpanding learnersâ knowledge not only of science but also of the monarchy and civic life.
Staff and learners alike were touched by the warm welcome they received in Bradford, and grateful for King Charlesâs kind words and encouragement. It was a truly unforgettable day for all involved.
