The recent reward trip to Gridline racing gave learners from Fen Park a chance to enjoy something they had genuinely earned. From the moment helmets were on, the atmosphere shifted. There was excitement, focus and a lot of laughter as learners prepared to take to the track.
For many, this was about more than racing. It was about trying something new in a safe, structured environment. Staff supported learners to take their time, understand the process and build confidence step by step. Some approached it cautiously at first. Others were ready to go straight away. Each response was respected.
Once on the track, learners showed concentration, resilience and pride. They encouraged one another, talked through their laps and shared their achievements afterwards. Back off the track, there were smiles, thumbs up and plenty of animated retelling of favourite moments.
Trips like this matter. They recognise effort, strengthen relationships and give learners positive experiences to carry forward. The day at Gridline was calm, joyful and full of well-earned momentumāsomething learners will remember as they continue building confidence, trust and ambition together.
