For the fourth year running, learners and staff at CCS North came together for a joyful VE Day garden party, celebrating British values in a vibrant and inclusive way.
The event featured a host of fun-filled activities, including a barbecue, bouncy castle games, and the ever-popular Ice Bucket Headteacher Challenge. These activities werenāt just for funāthey helped create opportunities for teamwork, community spirit and mutual respect.
In a tradition that strengthens ties across the broader Compass community, the school also welcomed guests from Long Lea House and Chimneys House. Former learners returned to take part too, adding to the sense of continuity and connection.
The VE Day celebration is more than a social eventāit is a purposeful part of the school calendar, designed to foster understanding between individuals from different backgrounds, roles and cultures. By coming together in this way, learners gain valuable real-life experience of what it means to live out the British values of respect, tolerance and community.
